Latest Dives Made At Cortez Beach

Friday, July 25th, 2008

We arrived at the Dive site , Cortez Beach., at 9am. The excitement was high as we entered the water. The first thing we enjoyed in the salt water were a pair of manatees in the gulf. So beautiful was the water we expected perfect visibility but only had 12 feet. Still the fish had no trouble finding us with our frozen shrimp. Feeding the small grouper and wrasses is a great way to keep your hands from scalloping the water and throwing off your buoyancy. By the end of the second dive I was proud to say that the class had not only enjoyed themselves but had learned how to protect the fragile underwater world and enjoy the marine life.
